Paralympics New Zealand is passionate about its communities
Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) is passionate about the work that we do in communities throughout New Zealand. As part of a worldwide social change movement, we positively influence community perceptions of disabled people and promote a more diverse and inclusive society.
We advocate for sport to become more accessible for disabled people and to support the creation of more systems and programmes to enable participation in Para sport.
Since the launch of our Spirit of Gold® Initiative in 2015, an award-winning and successful commercial and marketing programme, we have worked with communities big and small across New Zealand promoting Para sport, celebrating success and identifying future Paralympians. We are extremely grateful for the support and passion New Zealanders have shown Para athletes and Paralympians during this time.
